Dr. Musa Shaibu, M. B., B. S. (Ib), PGCOH (abdn), DOccMed. (Lond), MBA, IHM (Frankfurt) is an Occupational Health Practitioner, based in Abuja, Nigeria and the current President of Society of Occupational and Environmental Health Physicians of Nigeria, SOEHPON.
He trained at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria for his MBBS degree, Aberdeen Medical School, Scotland for his post-graduate certificate in Occupational Health and the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Frankfurt, Germany for his MBA in International Healthcare Management.
He had served and retired from the Medical Services of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation where he encountered and began his journey in Occupational Health and Safety began. Along this journey, he led various work teams, at various times to provide medical support for operations in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry; covering all aspects of the value chain, including seismic activities and emergency medical evacuations in both on-shore and off-shore locations
Currently, Dr. Shaibu is the Group Managing Director of Nisa Medical Group, a Hospital Group providing primary, secondary and tertiary care in various medical specialties, including Assisted Reproductive Technology, Organ Transplantation etc
His special area of interest is Health, Safety and Environment; especially as it relates to persons at work.
Dr. Shaibu is married with children and grand-children and enjoys playing golf.
