Dr. Julie McKibben, MD, MS, FACOEM
Dr. Julie McKibben is a board-certified Occupational Medicine physician serving as Senior Director at Procter & Gamble, where she leads both Global Medical Technology and Global Medical Operations. With a commitment to enhancing workplace health, she oversees comprehensive medical surveillance programs that protect over 60,000 employees from occupational hazards.
An esteemed educator, Dr. McKibben teaches internationally on topics such as spirometry and allergen management. She also directs a robust quality assurance program for spirometry testing, ensuring the highest standards in patient care. As a contributing author of the fifth edition of Asthma in the Workplace, she actively shapes the conversation around prevention strategies in occupational health.
In her role, Dr. McKibben is instrumental in managing the corporate occupational health governance program, guaranteeing compliance with health-related laws and regulations. Her goal is to ensure that every P&G employee receives exceptional medical care, regardless of their location.
Dr. McKibben plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the field as Chair of the University of Cincinnati Occupational Medicine Residency Committee. She is also a member of the University of Cincinnati Education and Research Center External Advisory Board and has served as President and continues to be an active member of the Tri-State Occupational Medicine Association.
As a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and a Professional Supervisor for the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation, Dr. McKibben exemplifies leadership in her field. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Boston University, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.
A proud U.S. Navy veteran and entrepreneur, Dr. McKibben established occupational medicine clinics before joining Procter & Gamble. She has authored a peer-reviewed article on spirometry and has shared her expertise on various occupational medicine topics across radio and television platforms.
