Dr. Kertay is a strategically focused leader, industry consultant, healthcare executive, and clinical psychologist, with over 50 years of experience in applying behavioral science principles to a broad range of corporate and clinical settings. He is board-certified in clinical psychology and is a fellow of the International Academy of Independent Medical Examiners. He currently serves as an industry consultant in workplace mental health, with multiple roles with companies serving disability and workers’ compensation, including as Chief Medical Officer for Ascellus Health. An adjunct professor of psychology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Dr. Kertay also has a long history of presenting on mental health-related issues in occupational settings. He served as a consultant to the editorial panel of the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Impairment, is on the advisory panel for MD Guidelines, and has been involved in several ACOEM Guideline committees, including as co-chair for the ACOEM Guideline for Disability Prevention and Management.
