Naval Health Clinic Annapolis

Commander Wallace is a native of Washington. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy, a Masters of Public Health from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and Medical Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He was commissioned through the United States Naval Academy in May 2008, designated a Naval Flight Surgeon in May 2017, and a Fleet Marine Force Qualified Officer in May 2019.

Commander Wallace’s operational assignments include as a General Medical Officer assigned to the Pentagon’s DiLorenzo Tricare Health Clinic, a squadron flight surgeon with HMLA-169 & HMLA-369, as senior medical officer for Camp Jessada and FLAS Utapao during exercise Cobra Gold ‘18, a wing headquarters surgeon with MWHS-3, the Navy’s representative to the Pentagon’s Special Missions Auxiliary Clinic, and the Pentagon’s assistant public health emergency officer at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. He has flown 250 hours in support of Operations including UDP 17-2.

Ashore, Commander Wallace has served as Chief Resident for the Military’s Occupational and Environmental Medicine Residency Training Program and Occupational and Environmental Medicine Service Chief for the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Currently he serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Naval Health Clinic Annapolis in support of the United States Naval Academy and as National Capital Region Occupational and Environmental Medicine Product Line Lead Deputy.

He is authorized to wear the Defense Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Joint Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Rifle Marksmanship Medal, and Pistol Marksmanship Medal.
