Dr. Perla Manlapaz serves as Senior Manager for Chevron’s Health & Medical Execution Team within the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) organization. In this role, Dr. Manlapaz provides strategic leadership in developing global health and medical programs, standards, processes, and tools, ensuring alignment across the enterprise.
She oversees the global implementation of key programs and services, including Fitness for Duty, Health Surveillance, Fatigue Risk Management, Wellness Initiatives, and Electronic Medical Records. Her responsibilities also encompass advancing informatics and clinical technology solutions, driving innovation in health systems, and strengthening organizational capability through talent management and leadership of clinical staff worldwide.
Dr. Manlapaz began her career in 1998 as a Medical Consultant at Philippine Geothermal Holdings, Inc. (Unocal) and later became Health and Medical Manager, leading the company’s health services from 2001 to 2010. During this time, she developed and implemented health and wellness programs, standards, and protocols, while serving as a subject matter expert for Chevron business units across the Philippines and Asia Pacific. In 2010, she transitioned to Chevron’s corporate office, continuing to provide global expertise and leadership in health and medical strategy.
