Heather O’Hara-Rand, MD, MSPH, currently serves as Chair of the American Board of Preventive Medicine and as Chief of Compensation & Pension at the John Cochran VA in St. Louis. Inclusive of her compassionate approach to patient care, she is deeply committed to advancing the field of preventive medicine through collaboration and dedicated service. Dr. O’Hara-Rand previously directed the General Preventive Medicine and Occupational Medicine residency programs at Meharry Medical College and remains actively involved in supporting these programs. Her professional activities also include serving as Chair of the ACPM GME Subcommittee, membership on the Preventive Medicine Review Committee, and participation in the ABPM Core Exam Subcommittee. Dr. O’Hara-Rand is devoted to promoting preventive health in the workplace, the community, and at the individual level—demonstrating her steadfast commitment to improving public health outcomes through proactive measures and education.
