Dr. Eric T. Meek, MD, FAWM, Director Global Medical Health Informatics at Procter & Gamble, is a visionary physician-leader at the intersection of medicine, technology, and global workforce health. For the past seven years he has supported Procter & Gamble’s Health and Beauty Sectors and shaped the Travel Health and Health Informatics strategies. In this role, he has supported more than 140 health centers across 40+ countries, leading the modernization of P&G’s clinical technology infrastructure.
Uniquely dual board-certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine and Clinical Informatics, Dr. Meek bridges complex health challenges with data-driven, technology-enabled solutions. His career began working for 12 years in computer science during which he consulted at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and subsequently worked in high-performance and grid computing at the University of Tennessee’s Innovative Computing Laboratory. That deep technical foundation continues to inform his work in clinical informatics, epidemiology, and digital health.
After earning his MD from the University of Tennessee, Dr. Meek served with distinction as a physician and Flight Surgeon in the U.S. Navy. His advanced training in Wilderness, Tropical, and Aviation Medicine led to his recognition as a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine, underscoring his ability to operate in extreme and complex environments. Following his military service, he completed an Occupational Medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Tyler and earned a Master of Environmental Science with a concentration in Occupational Health from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Meek embraces a vibrant family life on the farm. He and his wife run a cattle seed stock operation with their five children and an ever-expanding menagerie of cats, dogs, and piglets. This blend of high-level professional expertise and a grounded personal life make Dr. Meek a truly uniquely engaging and relatable speaker.
