Medical Director
Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies
Krystal Lin, MD, MSPH, is a board-certified occupational medicine physician who serves as Medical Director of Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies. She previously practiced clinical occupational medicine at Kaiser on the Job. She has a strong interest in understanding technology’s role in reimagining the future of healthcare. In order to have a sustainable healthcare system, there needs to be a shift from a "sick care" to a "well care" model, a deeper integration of transparency, and a universal adoption of value-based care, none of which can be possible without technology. She believes that the future of occupational medicine lies in thinking beyond workers compensation and in integrating our specialty with the rest of healthcare (even better, becoming the hub of healthcare). She has also been a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine since 2018. She has been an active member of the WOEMA, and previously served as the co-chair of its education committee. Dr. Lin is a graduate of the University of Rochester medical school, and completed a residency in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. She has completed a competitive research fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
