Dr. Michelle Robertson is an Occupational and Environmental Medicine physician at the VA New Jersey-War Related Illness and Injury Study Center (WRIISC) where she works with post-deployed Veterans with exposure concerns related to military service. She is also the Clinical Director for the Airborne Hazards and Burn Pit Center of Excellence and also served as the VA East Orange facility Lead Environmental Health Clinician and registry provider. She is a national speaker and regularly gives presentations regarding military exposure concerns. Prior to joining WRIISC, she served as the Associate Director of the residency training program with the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Residency Program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers) where she was also on staff at the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI) in Employee Health. At EOHSI, she provided care to injured workers, and evaluated and treated first-responders in the World Trade Center Medical Monitoring and Treatment Program. Dr. Robertson is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health and Justice at the Rutgers School of Public Health, and she is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in Family Practice, as well as the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Occupational Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine.
