Dr. Haimes is the Director of Occupational Medicine for My Health Onsite – an organization that operates onsite medical facilities for 25 employers in Florida providing both primary care and occupational medicine services to employees and their dependents. Dr. Haimes is a physician who is board-certified in the medical specialty of Occupational Medicine and is also a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). He frequently has been asked to provide expert opinions regarding the causal relationships between exposures and the development of disease.
He is a Member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) Public Safety Medicine Section, a Member of the ACOEM Task Group for Guidance for the Evaluation of Public Safety Employees, and a Member of the NFPA 1580 Technical Committee on Emergency Responders Occupational Health.
Over the past 40 years, he has practiced in the governmental, academic, private, and corporate settings. His work with the Fire Service began in 1985 when while working for OSHA, he was the author of the medical surveillance provisions of the OSHA HAZWOPR regulations (29 CFR 1910.120). As a member of the NFPA Technical Committee for Emergency Responders Occupational Health (NFPA 1582 and NFPA 1580), he was a principal in the recent NFPA merging of different medical criteria for applicants and incumbents into a single set of criteria.
