Dr Moore retired from the Air Force as an Aerospace Medicine Specialist after more than 22 years of service. She began working for NASA as a contractor providing occupational health services at NASA Langley Research Center then as the manager of the NASA Agency Occupational Health Support Office for the Office of the Chief Health and Medical Officer based at Kennedy Space Center. Continuing to work for the Agency Office, she transitioned to the lead medical contractor for NASA's electronic health record system. Since termination of that position by NASA, she has taken on the volunteer role of clinic manager at a non-profit health clinic that provides healthcare services for uninsured individuals.
