At bp Eugene leads the health & wellbeing teams for UK Europe and Caspian regions. His strategic role involves coordinating occupational health, wellbeing and industrial hygiene activities. He supports the transition to new organisational structures and the implementation of wellbeing programmes such as the BP Wellbeing Index and Healthy Minds within bp’s production, refining, trading and retail business units.
He has extensive international experience and previously held senior occupational health leadership roles across major organisations including Jaguar Land Rover, International SOS, Agip KCO and Imperial College Healthcare Trust, London.
He has led occupational health, medical and wellbeing services in complex high risk environments managing multidisciplinary teams in major projects, as well as undertaking complex case management, establishing in house medical and emergency response services, leading pandemic response and ensuring regulatory and clinical governance compliance while improving cost control, workforce engagement and operational resilience.
Eugene aims to never let work get in the way of his sense of adventure. He has a wide range of unusual medical experience, including but not limited to aero medical medicine all over the world and specifically with the East African Flying Doctor Service, being an onboard physician in the South Pacific and as ISOS Medical Director for remote site medical services in the territory of the former Soviet Union.
