Grady Valencis

Deputy Director for Health and Safety
International Association of Fire Fighters

Mr. Grady Valencis currently serves as the Deputy Director for Health and Safety with the International Association of Fire Fighters. Deputy Director Grady Valencis has worked for seven years in the IAFF’s Health & Safety Division. He retired as Battalion Chief from the Prince George’s County (Maryland) Fire & EMS Department, serving for 28 years. He manages the Fireground Survival, Fit To Thrive, Candidate Physical Ability Test, Workplace Violence Prevention, and Responding to the Interface programs, the Wellness-Fitness Initiative, the District Burn Coordinators, and the Disaster Relief Go-Team, he administers grant funded programs and serves as a representative to the NFPA 1580 committee.
