Brenna Hampton has been defending employers and insurance carriers in California workers' compensation cases since 2006 after graduating from California Western School of Law. She is a California State Bar Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation. In 2012, Brenna opened and managed the San Diego office of a premier California defense litigation firm. Several years later, she returned to school to obtain a Master's Degree in Law Firm Management from the George Washington University. During her time at the firm, Brenna created the Education & Standards Committee, in which she prepared the firm's intranet, originated and taught the new attorney training program, and coordinated internal and external publications on key developments in workers' compensation law. Brenna enjoys training and is a frequent lecturer to local, state, and national workers' compensation professionals.
In 2024, Brenna left litigation to open a consulting firm where she advises California employers and insurers to help refine their litigation program. She also provides training on workers' compensation assessment, report-writing, and legal nuances for medical professionals who serve as treating physicians and qualified medical evaluators, giving her a unique perspective on the many challenges faced within the medical and med-legal world. In this context she has prepared and participated in trainings that include the following: case law updates for medical professionals, writing strong MMI reports, addressing impairment and apportionment, reconciling treatment with med-legal approaches in workers' compensation, and psyche claims.
