Dr. Chinwe Okala serves as Chevron Nigeria’s Quality Assurance and Public Health Advisor, bringing extensive experience in occupational and public health leadership. Her career spans over 15 years in the oil and gas sector and includes work with global organizations such as the United Nations Development Fund for Women, the International Organization for Migration across West Africa, and the Nigerian Armed Forces. This diverse experience has shaped her holistic approach to health, integrating quality assurance, preventive strategies, population health and workforce well-being.
Chinwe’s journey into occupational medicine reflects a commitment to evidence-based practice and global health. She is a specialist in Occupational Medicine licensed in the UK and serves as a reviewer for Occupational Medicine, the journal of the UK Society of Occupational Medicine.
Beyond her corporate role, Chinwe co-chaired the Scientific Committee of the Society of Occupational and Environmental Health Physicians of Nigeria (SOEHPON) and promotes Lifestyle Medicine to prevent chronic disease and strengthen workforce resilience aligning health with business performance. She is committed to embedding health into organizational culture, driving innovation in occupational health, and creating workplaces where employees take ownership of their health.
