Kosuke Sakai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine at Tokai University School of Medicine in Japan. His research focuses on occupational health, mental well-being, and workplace health promotion, with a particular emphasis on using text mining and data science to analyze workers’ narratives and psychosocial factors.
He has led multiple national studies in Japan examining exercise behavior, stress management, and organizational support, and has recently expanded his work internationally through the America–Japan International Study on Workers’ Active-lifestyles and Illnesses (AJISAI). This project explores cross-cultural differences in mental health, engagement, and health beliefs between Japanese and U.S. workers.
His work aims to integrate quantitative and qualitative approaches to better understand workers’ psychological well-being and to develop evidence-based strategies for healthier, more inclusive workplaces.
